BotServ (Terms of service):

BotServ reserve the right to change the TOS (Terms of service) at any time,
with or without any prior notice. The BotServ TOS consists of many categories.

(1) Channel:

1.1) The bot must be a channel operator (e.g. @BotServ-XX)

1.2) The bot MUST be op-ed in at all times!

1.3) The bot has the right to display Global Messages or other Messages/Settings

1.4) BotServ staff will only help you when help is requested.

(3) Applying for a bot:

3.1) Your channel is not +I (invite only) or +k (is keyed)

3.2) You have more than 401 in the desired channel

3.3) You have ChanServ in the channel

(4) Channel Registration:

4.1) Accepted: Upon acceptance, you will be messaged vital information about your bot from BotServ. Please read these carefully so you can fully optimize your bot. If you do require help fell free to ask in the #BotServ home channel.

4.2) Revoked: If your request has been revoked, you will be notified with a private message from BotServ stating why your channel has been revoked. Do not try and contest with this as you will make the matter worse. Remember, your channel may be denied if it is +i (Invite Only) or +k (Has a Password), remove these modes and re-apply. OR you lack access. (BotServ requires you to have more than 401 to apply for a bot.

(5) Channel Rules:

5.1) The bot must have 401 access. If you are uncertain that the bot has 401 access, type: “!a *BotServ” If the bot has some sort of access type: “!clvl *BotServ 401” if you lack access to do this get someone with a higher access level to do this for you. If the bot has no access at all type: “!adduser *BotServ 401”

5.2) Any abuse towards the bot (i.e. Kick/Ban/Deop/Deluser etc.) will result in your channel being suspended or even worse added to DNR (Do Not Register)

5.3) Any abuse towards staff when they are helping you will possibly result in your channel being suspended for a certain period of time or even DNR(Do Not Register) if it is a repeat offence.

5.4) No words/graphics/websites etc... That is posted on the bot must not be against GameSurge AUP (www.gamesurge.net/aup) or against BotServ TOS (www.botserv.net/tos).

(6) Users:

6.1) BotServ’s users are expected to treat others with respect at all times.

6.2) People that degrade someone else’s experience or humor with BotServ will not be tolerated and may result in a Permanent Ban from BotServ and ALL of its Services.

6.3) Abusing the bot as in Kick/Deop/Ban/Flooding will not be tolerated and your channel may be suspended.

6.4) Harassing the bot will result in a Suspension.

6.5) Harassing other users will not be tolerated and further action will be taken up with higher authorities.

(7) Staff:

7.1) Users will be expected at all times to respect BotServ staff members, regardless of ranks. Respect the staff, as you would like to be treated.

7.2) If a BotServ Staff member/Trial Helper notifies you that you are breaking the BotServ TOS or the GameSurge AUP, .you must do so if failure to do so BotServ will contact GameSurge IRC Operators and further action will be taken, but before all of this can be done the user has a right of 1 warning and only one warning.

7.3) If you feel a BotServ Staff member is abusing their privileges/rights please msg/notify BaW of the user’s

2) Logs(Is required)
3) Date
4) Time

(8) CustomBots

8.1) While you are allowed to change your bot's nick at anytime it cannot emulate any other bot service on GameSurge, (eg Clanbot-* Botserv* SynServ-* Bot-*) If we find that your bot is emulating another bot service on GameSurge your bot will be removed without a warning. Also your access to BotServ will be suspended until further notice.

8.2) Using your custom bot to join irrelevant channels is unacceptable. These channels can range from e.g #GameSurge, #Support, #help etc... However if you are granted permission by the CHANNEL OWNER you must first notify BotServ with logs and the person's nick and then BotServ Staff will come to an agreement to let the user join that channel or not let it join that channel

8.3) Using the bot to send harmful/racist/degrading information will result in your bot being suspended for a minimum of 3 days.

8.4) Using the bot to advertise in channels where you have not got the channel owner's permission will result with warnings.
1) Warning to Bot Owner
2) 2nd warning to bot owner
3) Bot suspended for 3 days
4) Bot suspended for 7 days
5) Bot is removed for 1 month
6) Bot is removed for good and your channel is added to DNR

8.4) On custom bot orders we can't promise 100% uptime due to server problems at times. Nor can any money be refunded due to down time.
